Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced PCI Technical Integration Manager to manage secure integrations with acquiring banks, payment gateways, merchants and other payment partners.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Development, Security, Compliance, Product and Operations teams to ensure that all payment integrations are technically effective and compliant with PCI DSS requirements. This is a senior, hands-on technical role and not a general project management position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead payment gateway, acquirer and merchant integrations from planning through deployment.
• Review APIs, payment flows, webhooks, authentication methods and cardholder data flows.
• Ensure integrations comply with PCI DSS and do not unnecessarily expand the cardholder data environment.
• Advise developers on tokenization, hosted payment pages, iframe solutions, encryption and secure API architecture.
• Translate PCI requirements and audit findings into clear technical tasks and operational procedures.
• Coordinate Development, Security, Compliance, Product, Operations and external partners.
• Maintain technical documentation, integration plans, risk registers and compliance evidence.
• Support PCI DSS assessments, recertification, vulnerability reviews and remediation activities.
• Train operational teams on secure payment-data handling practices.
• Identify technical or compliance risks and provide practical, secure alternatives.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in fintech, payments, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, solutions architecture or technical integration management.
• At least three years of practical PCI DSS experience within payments, banking, acquiring or fintech.
• Proven experience integrating payment gateways, acquiring banks, processors or merchant platforms.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, payment architecture, tokenization, encryption, authentication and cardholder data protection.
• Experience translating compliance requirements into technical implementation tasks.
• Strong project coordination, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Must be available full-time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• PCIP, ISA, CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification.
• Experience working with a Qualified Security Assessor.
• Experience supporting PCI certification or recertification.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, micro services, 3-D Secure, refunds, charge-backs and settlements.

Important Application Requirement

• This role is suitable only for candidates with direct experience in PCI DSS and payment integrations.
• Applicants must be available for full-time employment and able to work effectively within a hybrid or remote structure. Candidates based in Lagos, Nigeria, will be given preference.
