Job Overview
The position:
We are looking for a passionate Information Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in network engineering and security systems, such as firewall, network infrastructure, and cloud-based Wi-Fi solution administration, maintenance, and protection of the organisation’s systems and data.
The main responsibilities of the position include:

- Provide technical support to the business and resolve network and security issues
- Investigate operational alerts about the network infrastructure in a timely manner
- Develop new and maintain existing documentation about technologies or team procedures
- Report and stay abreast of current security technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities
- Assist and maintain the physical security of the organisation (i.e. cameras, access control systems)
Main requirements:

- BSc/MSc in Information Technology or any other relevant degree
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a related position
- Demonstrate good knowledge of network security solutions, such as firewalls, routers, and switches
- Basic understanding of various information system technologies (i.e., TCP/IP, IPsec, IPS, Windows/Linux systems, Active Directory, VMWare)
- Entry level network engineering qualifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) will be considered an advantage
- Hands-on experience with network management and monitoring tools
- The willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Analytical and methodical
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Very good verbal and written communication skills – the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- The ability to work well under pressure and deliver high quality results within tight deadlines
- Adaptable and a fast learner
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Cooperative and a team player
