We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps / Cloud Engineer to secure, automate, and optimize our infrastructure. This role will integrate robust application security controls directly into deployment pipelines, manage secure AWS cloud environments, and support high availability for critical databases.
 

Role Overview

The DevSecOps/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for embedding security into the software delivery lifecycle, strengthening cloud and application security, and supporting secure API and database operations.

This role requires practical experience with GitLab CI/CD, AWS cloud infrastructure, application security practices, API security, and secure database management.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Automation and Security

• Embed security tooling, including SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning, directly into CI/CD workflows.
• Build and maintain secure GitLab CI/CD templates, runner configurations, and pipeline controls.
• Automate recovery testing templates to support rapid failover and resilient deployment capabilities.
• Enforce compliance checks and identity governance within continuous delivery pipelines. Cloud and Application Security
• Architect and maintain secure AWS environments using industry-standard hardening frameworks.
• Review application code and infrastructure blueprints to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
• Implement zero-trust principles across cloud networking and computing resources.
• Support vulnerability remediation, container security, and secure deployment practices.

API and Database Management

• Secure API endpoints through robust authentication, rate limiting, encryption, and access control protocols.
• Harden database configurations to protect sensitive data at rest and in transit.
• Manage automated backups, database monitoring, and secure access controls.
• Support availability, recovery, and operational resilience for critical databases.

Technical Qualifications

DevOps and CI/CD (GitLab)

• Experience building reusable pipeline templates, managing runners, and securing GitLab CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to integrate SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
• Deep knowledge of IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, KMS, CloudTrail, and Route 53.
• Experience applying cloud hardening, access governance, logging, encryption, and monitoring best practices.

Development and Integration (APIs)

• Proficiency in securing, testing, and integrating RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
•  Understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, rate limiting, and API monitoring.

Security Practices

• Strong grasp of OWASP Top 10, vulnerability remediation, secure SDLC, and container security.
• Practical knowledge of zero-trust architecture and identity-based access controls.

Databases

• Experience securing and managing databases in production environments.
• Familiarity with database hardening, encrypted backups, access controls, and recovery testing.

• Cloud compliance and hardening score improvement
• Backup and recovery test success rate
• API security incident reduction
• Database availability and access control effectiveness

Preferred Experience

• Experience within fintech, payment, or other security-sensitive technology environments.
• Background managing secure AWS production infrastructure.
• Experience with high-availability systems and critical database environments.
• Familiarity with compliance-driven DevSecOps environments.

Salary:

• USD 700 -1000 gross per month
