We are looking for vigilant and detail-oriented Transaction Monitoring Specialists to join our monitoring team.

The role involves monitoring live transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliation, identifying technical or operational issues, handling alerts and disputes, and maintaining clear communication during shift handovers.

The ideal candidates should have monitoring analyst experience, strong Excel skills, logical thinking, problem-solving ability, mathematical accuracy, and strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor transactions and ensure accurate reconciliation between acquirer portals and the internal dashboard.
• Track transaction success rates, declines, acquirer downtime, and technical issues.
• Monitor and resolve Ethoca alerts, refunds, and charge-back related matters.
• Identify suspicious activity, unusual transaction patterns, volume spikes, or potential fraud.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and escalate account or transaction issues promptly.
• Monitor email inboxes, Telegram groups, and WhatsApp groups for important updates.
• Maintain clear logs and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Prepare reports on transaction volumes, account health, and operational issues.
• Assist with ad-hoc data checks, historical transaction searches, and custom reports.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Monitoring Analyst, Transaction Monitoring Specialist, or similar role.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, filtering, pivot tables, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with data and numbers.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good mathematics and numerical skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify patterns.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to act quickly, report clearly, and escalate issues when required.
• Experience in merchant acquiring, payment gateways, charge-backs, disputes, or financial operations is an advantage.

Nice to Have
 

• Experience as a Shift Head, Team Lead, or Senior Monitoring Analyst.
• Experience in fintech, payment processing, or financial operations.
• Familiarity with acquirer portals, transaction dashboards, and reconciliation tools.
