About the Role

We are looking for vigilant and detail-oriented Transaction Monitoring Specialists - Shift Leaders to join our monitoring team. The role involves monitoring live transactions, reconciling acquirer and internal dashboard data, identifying technical or operational issues, handling alerts, disputes and refunds, and maintaining clear communication during shift handovers.

The ideal candidates should have direct payment operations experience, strong Excel reconciliation skills, logical thinking, mathematical accuracy, problem-solving ability and the capacity to act quickly in a shift-based monitoring environment.

 

​​​​​​​Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor live transactions and ensure accurate reconciliation between acquirer portals, payment gateways, transaction dashboards and the internal dashboard.
  • Track transaction success rates, decline spikes, acquirer downtime, technical issues and merchant/account health.
  • Monitor, investigate and resolve Ethoca alerts, Verifi / Visa RDR alerts, fraud alerts, disputes, refunds and chargeback-related matters.
  • Investigate declined transactions, failed payments, payment gateway issues and unusual transaction patterns.
  • Identify suspicious activity, volume spikes, chargeback risks and potential fraud indicators.
  • Prepare Excel-based reconciliation reports, exception reports, transaction-volume reports and account-health updates.
  • Monitor email inboxes, Telegram groups and WhatsApp groups for important operational updates.
  • Maintain clear logs, escalate issues promptly and ensure smooth shift handovers.
  • Assist with ad-hoc data checks, historical transaction searches and custom reports.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Prior experience as a Monitoring Analyst, Transaction Monitoring Specialist, Payment Operations Analyst, Chargeback/Dispute Analyst or similar role.
  • Direct experience with acquirer portals, payment gateways, transaction dashboards, reconciliation tools or similar payment operations systems.
  • Practical experience handling chargebacks, disputes, refunds, Ethoca alerts, Verifi / Visa RDR alerts, fraud alerts and declined transaction investigations.
  • Familiarity with Visa, Mastercard and American Express dispute, alert or chargeback-related processes is strongly preferred.
  • Strong Excel reconciliation skills, including formulas, filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting and exception reporting.
  • Ability to monitor live transaction success rates, decline spikes, downtime, merchant/account health and chargeback-prevention indicators.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with data and numbers.
  • Strong logical thinking, analytical ability, problem-solving skills and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, act quickly, report clearly and escalate issues when required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for shift handovers and operational reporting.

​​​​​​​Nice to Have

  • Experience as a Shift Head, Team Lead or Senior Monitoring Analyst.
  • Experience in fintech, payment processing, merchant acquiring, card payments or financial operations.
  • Experience with chargeback prevention, dispute monitoring, payment-risk investigation and operational incident tracking.

What We Offer

  • Full-time onsite role in Sivakasi, India.
  • Gross monthly salary: EUR 550 - EUR 650.
