Our client in Limassol is a service company to several forex brands having different licenses and they are focused on payments. They are looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller with the ambition to become a CFO. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role also includes managing accounting processes, analysing financial data, and providing strategic financial advice to improve overall business performance.  It’s a startup company and a demanding environment, so they are looking for someone who is very dedicated and flexible, and wanting to make a success of the company. The Financial Controller will report to the CFO.
 

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Financial Statements for multiple companies: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. 
• Treasury and Cash Flow Management for multiple companies: Oversee treasury functions, including daily liquidity management and the preparation of short- and long-term cash flow reports. 
• Communicates with banks and PSPs Management and Financial Reporting: Produce timely management reports and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making. 
• Workload Flexibility and Commitment: Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work overtime during peak periods such as month-end, year-end, and audit cycles to meet reporting deadlines.

Requirements:

• ACCA qualified (or equivalent) 
• Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm- advantage 
• Experience in a similar role
• No prior industry experience required 
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication 
• Excellent Excel skills and adaptable to new technologies such as AI
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools is an asset 
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Fluency in English

Working hours:

• The working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm (onsite role)
