OurMall.eu is an upcoming online marketplace designed to connect buyers and sellers across Europe. The platform is being developed with a strong focus on scalability, usability, and business efficiency.

As we continue developing the platform, we are looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our in-house technical team and support the ongoing development of OurMall.eu.

Role Overview

As a Junior Software Developer, you will work closely with our development team to build, improve, test, and maintain features across the OurMall.eu platform.

The role is suitable for someone who has a good foundation in PHP and Laravel, is willing to learn, and wants to gain practical experience working on a real e-commerce marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and maintenance of backend functionality using PHP and Laravel.
• Support the development of marketplace features including vendor management, product listings, orders, and user accounts.
• Work with MySQL databases, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Assist with identifying, debugging, and fixing software issues.
• Test new and existing functionality before deployment.
• Work with UI/UX designers and other team members to implement platform requirements.
• Write clean, organised, and maintainable code.
• Use Git for version control and participate in the team's development workflow.
• Participate in development meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.
• Learn and follow good development, security, and coding practices.

Qualifications – Must Have

• Basic to good knowledge of PHP and Laravel.
• Understanding of MVC architecture and web application development.
• Basic knowledge of MySQL.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
• Basic experience using Git or another version-control system.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a development team.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Availability to work full-time from our Sivakasi office.

Previous professional experience is welcome but is not essential. Candidates with relevant academic projects, personal projects, internships, or practical Laravel development experience are encouraged to apply.


Nice to Have

• Previous experience or projects using Laravel.
• Familiarity with e-commerce websites or online marketplaces.
• Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian tools.
• Basic understanding of payment gateways and checkout processes.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks or libraries.
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced development environment.

Salary

• €350–€400 gross per month
