Job Description (Summary)

We are seeking an experienced MLRO/Compliance Officer to oversee compliance operations for our Canadian MSB-licensed company. This role will ensure adherence to Canadian AML/CTF regulations, FINTRAC requirements, and international compliance standards while working from our Limassol office.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain AML/CFT compliance programs aligned with Canadian regulations (PCMLTFA).
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to FINTRAC.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk-based compliance procedures.
  • Oversee customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) processes.
  • Monitor transactions and investigate suspicious activities.
  • Manage compliance audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Provide compliance training to staff.
  • Maintain relationships with Canadian regulatory authorities.
 

Candidate Profile / Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years in compliance, preferably with MSB or financial services.
  • CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or equivalent certification required.
  • Deep understanding of International AML regulations, FINTRAC requirements, PCMLTFA, and FATF standards.
  • Experience with transaction monitoring systems and compliance software.
  • Fluent English required; French is an asset.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in Limassol, Cyprus.
  • Previous MLRO experience in an MSB environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of international AML standards (FATF recommendations).
  • Experience with cross-border compliance operations.
 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience: ​​​​​​​10+ years preferred ​​​​​​​

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: €30,000 – €45,000 per year
