Junior IT Support Engineer
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of IT Services & Solutions to a wide range of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior IT Support Engineer to work fully onsite in Limassol for one of their key clients operating in the Forex sector. As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you will provide first-line support to end users for hardware, software, and network related issues as well as install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another relevant field, and holders of relevant certifications like CompTIA A+ or Network+, are encouraged to apply. You will ideally possess previous experience in a relevant position, although IT Graduates with experience including internships or hands-on lab work are welcome to apply. Fluency in Greek and English is a must. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 12:00 – 21:00 from Monday to Friday, with the last 2 hours of each day covered on a remote basis (19:00 – 21:00).
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support to end users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist with user account management (Active Directory, Office365, etc.).
- Troubleshoot basic network issues (LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Maintain IT documentation and update inventory records.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when required.
- Support software updates, patches, and endpoint security tasks.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Diploma/degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+).
- 0-2+ years of IT experience.
- Knowledge of Jira ticketing systems will be considered an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with common office applications (Microsoft Office, email clients).
- Fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Fluency in both Greek and English.
- Valid driver’s license.
