As a Machine Learning Team Lead, you will build your own team, develop new ML models and collaborate with the Dealing, Business Analysts and our BI Experts. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models for trader profiling and other business applications.
• Take ownership of the entire ML project lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model deployment and monitoring.
• Act as the ML architect, making key decisions on model design, algorithm selection, and system architecture to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
• Mentor and guide a growing team of machine learning engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to align model development with business objectives and deliver impact.
• Build and maintain ML pipelines, ensuring robust and efficient workflows for model development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Define best practices for ML processes, including version control, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Actively participate in recruitment, identifying talent and building a high-performing ML team as the department scales.

Requirements:

• Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field or demonstrable working experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with a proven track record of developing and deploying models in production, with a minimum of 2 years managing teams.
• Strong experience in leading and mentoring teams, with demonstrated ability to build and scale a high-performance ML team.
• Proven ability to make architectural decisions and design end-to-end machine learning systems.
• Deep understanding of mathematical statistics, probability theory, and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning).
• Expertise in Python and machine learning libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong knowledge of MLOps tools (e.g., Airflow, MLflow, DVC), containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Extensive experience with SQL, complex queries, and querying large datasets.
• Familiarity with model monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with version control, CI/CD practices (e.g., Git, Jenkins), and setting up automated pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Exceptional communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team-building and developing talent.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with NLP techniques and frameworks (e.g., BERT, GPT, Llama etc).
• Experience scaling ML teams, including hiring and onboarding.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to influence organizational decisions and shape the future direction of the ML strategy.
