Financial Accountant

Job Overview

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies with diverse business interests, including Forex Trading and Real Estate Investments, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. Working closely with the CFO, the successful applicant will play a key role assisting with the smooth operation of our client’s finance department. As part of your role, you will produce error-free accounting reports and present their results, prepare financial statements, and support the month-end and year-end closing process. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or similar, and holders of any relevant accounting qualifications/certifications are welcome to apply. You will need to possess a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and principles, have experience with the creation of financial statements, and be a confident user of MS Excel. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budgets as required.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing process.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Management accounts preparation.
• Prepayments reconciliations.
• Reconciliation of bank statements.
• Reconciliation of various PSPs.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or similar is desirable.
• Holders of any relevant accounting qualifications/certifications are encouraged to apply.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processes.
• Experience with cryptocurrency wallets would be an advantage.
• Microsoft Office skills with very high proficiency in MS Excel.
• Knowledge and experience of working with Accounting Software.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must.
